چکیده

Objective: The aim of this study is to share our experience with nasal reconstruction and give a standardized algorithm for reconstruction. Study Design: Descriptive cross sectional. Setting: Burns Plastic Surgery Center, Peshawar. Period: January 2019 December 2022. Material & Methods: Data was obtained from patient records after approval IREB. Patients multiple co-morbidities small defects (<1.5cm) were excluded study. Defects classified based on anatomic areas radix, dorsum, sidewall, alar lower third defects. Cases tabulated regarding site the reconstructive options generate treatment algorithm. Results: A total 51 cases included in including 30 (58.8%) male patients. Mean age patients 48.12+21.89SD. Skin malignancies most common (n=35, 68.6%). Nasal ala reconstructed (25.5%) followed by dorsum sidewalls. Medium size (41.2%) common. In 64.8% (n=33) cases, forehead flaps used reconstruct (Table-I). 5.9% we observed flap congestion. 19 (37.25%) presented additional soft tissue which needed (Table-II). Reconstructive are as an defect (Figure-1). Conclusion: shared readers detects. We have formulated these that will simplify such cases.

Facial Artery Musculomucosal (FAMM) flap for nasal lining in reconstruction of large full thickness lateral nasal defects

Obviously, restoring the nasal lining is a great challenge in the reconstruction of nasal defects. Full thickness nasal defects usually require special flaps for reconstructing the nasal lining. Intranasal mucosal flaps, hinge over flaps, perinasal second flaps, folded or second forehead flaps and finally free flaps are examples that can be used for this purpose. Moreover, the case presented in...
